Keeping You Safe At The Park
We look forward to welcoming you safely to Watermouth Family Theme Park & Castle. As always, our priority is the health, safety and wellbeing of our visitors and team members. While we navigate our way through these difficult and unusual times, it has been necessary for us to make some changes around the park in order to keep everyone as safe as possible. Below is our Covid Safe Policy and gives an outline of what to expect on your visit.
BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
After 19th July we have taken the decision to continue to encourage social distancing by limiting our daily visitor numbers, and we therefore require you to book your tickets in advance. Please do this via our BOOKINGS PAGE. Tickets will not be available to purchase at the entrance, and we will not be able to add extra visitors – Everyone wishing to visit must be booked in advance. We are operating time slots for arrivals to reduce queuing. Please don’t arrive too early, as you won’t be admitted until your time slot. Last admission is 1pm, and there is no readmission to the Castle after this time. This is to allow staff to thoroughly clean it for the next day.
Take care measuring the height of your children to determine if they are under 92cm. Height checks take place at the point of admission. Any tickets purchased incorrectly will be subject to additional charges.
Unfortunately due to the reduced number of visitors we can allow into the park on a daily basis, we are unable to accommodate group discount bookings, complimentary tickets or offer our Many Happy Returns seasonal pass.
To protect our staff and visitors we will continue to ask everyone 11 years and over, (unless you are exempt for an age/health/disability reason), to wear masks in our indoor areas and where social distancing is not possible. Please bring your own mask or suitable face covering with you. There will be a limited supply available to buy.

Before you travel, please check our website or social media pages for the latest park information. If we need to communicate something with our visitors, it will be on these first.
If you begin displaying any symptoms related with COVID-19 we would politely request that you do not visit. Please contact the park to discuss your options if you have already booked tickets.
DURING YOUR VISIT
TRACK AND TRACE
A NHS QR code poster will be displayed at the entrance to the Park. If you have the app on your smartphone you will be able to scan the code to provide your details.
Upon entry to the Castle please observe any signage/advice from our team. We already have a one way system in the Castle to minimise groups of people bumping into each other. We understand people will spend different amounts of time looking at attractions in the castle and grounds so we would politely ask guests to keep left on walkways, paths or corridors, allowing for people to pass safely. Our park is large enough that we don’t anticipate any problems with social distancing in most outside areas.
As we are continuing to restrict visitor numbers we anticipate smaller queues, but we have introduced measures at popular attractions which may include floor spacing, or signage. Please adhere to any measures in place, or guidance given by our team.
Due to fire regulations we aren’t allowed pushchairs through the Castle. Our staff will be happy to take them to our buggy park for you while you go through the Castle. They will be carrying FAD cleaner and hand sanitiser wipes to wipe the handles for both their protection and yours. We will also leave sterilising wipes at the buggy collection point for your convenience.
We will have enhanced cleaning at high touch point areas throughout the park. We have also placed hand sanitising stations around the park for your convenience. Some parts of our attraction are very hands on (vintage pier machines/soft ball cannons). You will find tubs of hygiene wipes for you to sanitise the equipment before and after use. This will be accompanied by our staff making frequent visits to these areas to clean and sanitise.
Each ride operator will be equipped with FAD Green Shield, an eco friendly all purpose cleaner and sanitiser. High touch points will be cleaned between each ride. This may slow down the ride changeover slightly.
Hygiene screens will continue to be used at the main entrance, Courtyard Cafe, Gift Shop and Garden Cafe. This will help protect both staff and guests.
Any water attractions made available to guests, such as the Panning For Gold will use chlorinated water for your safety.
There is both indoor and outdoor seating at our our Courtyard Cafe and we would politely request that just one person places the order at the counter, leaving the rest of the party seated.
The Garden Cafe is a takeaway food service with outdoor seating and we would politely request one person orders at the counter and collects the food.
We have altered our menus at both outlets to allow for more of a “Grab and Go”.
Throughout the park we have various indoor attractions and facilities. For some of these we have had to restrict the numbers permitted inside at any one time. Please observe and adhere to any signage advising you of numbers allowed in at any time.
IS EVERYTHING OPEN?
We have been working hard to make sure most of our attractions are open and available for your safe use. We will review our Covid Safety Policy regularly, and reserve the right to add or remove attractions if necessary. We are currently unable to open the following attractions due to Covid Safety Restrictions:
