Yes, Watermouth Castle does have it's own car park which is free. Vehicles are left at your own risk.

Unfortunately, there are no options to buy socks on-site at Watermouth Castle. If you need socks, it's best to bring your own or purchase them before your visit.

Watermouth Castle does not have spare clothes. It's a good idea to bring spare clothes with you if needed.

We don't offer Work Experince at Watermouth Castle.

Yes, adults can visit Watermouth Castle.

For safety reasons, children under the age of 18 must be supervised by an adult while at Watermouth Castle. An adult can supervise up to four children. It's important to ensure that children are always accompanied by an adult to maintain a safe environment.

Watermouth Castle does not accept cash payments on-site. All transactions must be made using card payments excluding AME, however Our Vintage Arcade machines are a mix of static display and operating machines, the operating machines require coins to operate. Due to their age, they are not fitted with coin jam releases.

We understand that things can go wrong from time to time and do our very best to resolve matters fully on the day. Please speak to a duty manager on site. If we were unable to resolve this on the day, please email us with your complaint to info@watermouthcastle.com FAO The Manager, within 12 weeks of your visit. Our management team will review your complaint and will be in touch within 7 days to resolve this for you.

Grown-ups are never too old to play! Watermouth Castle primarily caters to children aged 2 to 13 years old. It's important to note that children must be supervised at all times while visiting.

Dogs are welcome! Only friendly, well-behaved dogs are allowed, and they must be on leads at all times. Dogs are not permitted in play areas, on rides or in food and drink areas.​ Dog owners are responsible for their dogs' behaviour at all times and for clearing away any waste into the bins provided. Please note we do not accept dogs listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act.

Stagecoach Travel, Bus no. 301 from either Ilfracombe or Combe Martin stops at Watermouth Castle entrance, for time table telephone 0871 200 2233.
BY TRAIN
Our nearest railway station is Barnstaple, there is no direct bus, you have to go to Ilfracombe Bus Station and change for Combe Martin or take a taxi.

Watermouth Castle was created by Nick de Candole and Richard Farley, founders of the Escapade Group; known for designing and developing unique and engaging experiences for families and children. They aim to provide a magical environment filled with adventure, exploration, and fun.

Yes we do accept the national carers card. Please select a Concessionticket when booking online. Other forms of proof could be any of the following: Evidence of DLA/PIP payments, Access Card, a National Disability Card or Carers Card, or a valid Blue Badge dated within the last 12 months.

We recommend children and adults wear long sleeved tops that can tuck in, long trousers and trainers.

You are welcome to bring a pushchair or pram to Watermouth Castle. Please note that there is no storage available for pushchairs/prams at the venue and we do not offer rentals.

If you hold a ticket for Watermouth Castle, you may return to your car and re-enter the site on the same day, as long as you have your ticket with you.

If you have a General Admission ticket you can arrive when you want from when we open and leave when you want up until closing time. Our Afternoon saver ticket only allows entry from 1.30pm onwards and you can stay up until closing time.

There are no discounts on day tickets for childminders; however, we offer a range of admission tickets and annual passes that provide excellent value for money.

Yes, it is advisable to pre-book your tickets to avoid disappointment, as Watermouth Castle can get quite busy during Peak periods. While you can buy tickets on the day, pre-booking ensures you have your spot secured.

Tickets are non-refundable, but the date of your visit can be changed prior to the date of your visit. If you cannot make your original choice, Create an account, uisng the email address you purchased the orignial ticket with, log into your account on our website to make any changes. Please note that any booking changes will incur an administration fee of £10. If you are an annual pass holder please login into your account online to cancel your booking.

There are set discounts on day tickets for local customers; however, we do run Local Days which are on Select dates throughout our opening dates. Please keep an eye out on our website and social media pages for updated information on this.

Watermouth Castle has limited capacity each day and we keep the number of guests to a level that we can manage and we feel gives the best experience to our guests. If the tickets are fully booked for your desired date, we recommend checking for alternative dates or times that may have availability. You can also keep an eye on the website for any updates or cancellations.

Like many other firms in our industry we must contend with rising costs which include our booking transaction costs too. We cannot continue absorbing these fees and so we have a £2.50 booking fee per transaction which will help recoup some of the fees we are charged.

No, Watermouth Castle is not a Blue Peter badge attraction.

We have facilities designed for 2 to 13 year olds. Only an adult aged 18+ can accompany and supervise a child at Watermouth Castle.

The ratio of adults to children is 1 adult to 4 children.

The Toboggan ride costs an additional fee - £1.50 per ride. The toboggan is an optional add-on product; this can be paid for on the day of your visit at the ride.
At our Crazy Golf a pound coin is required to operate the golf ball dispenser.

Yes, Disabled parking can be found at the front of the castle.

Yes - if you need to go back to the car during your visit, simply ask at reception. You will be given a hand stamp or wristband to enable re-entry within your timeslot allocation.

Yes! All ages are welcome and there's something for everyone - from the museum and tea rooms to the beautiful grounds and amazing views of the stunning North Devon coastline... plus all the rides - these are most suitable for children aged 2 to 13. Our play areas are both challenging and exciting too - we just ask that children are supervised at all times.

Yes, we do offer a Blue Light discount! Holders of a valid Blue Light Card should log on to their Blue Light card account for the latest offers.
The owner of the card will need to present your Blue Light card as evidence at the admission desk on the day of your visit.

Unfortunately, there are no lockers available at Watermouth Castle for storing personal items.
