Curriculum-Linked Victorian Lesson Plan KS1 & KS2:

A 60-minute self-serve lesson plan that can be delivered entirely onsite or split between school and the castle.

A worksheet for the children to complete once onsite.

A history fact sheet about Watermouth Castle's history.

An answers guide for teachers.

Immersive Experiences:

Explore dungeons featuring old shops, a fairy museum, and a smugglers' tunnel.

School visits are offered Monday - Friday during term time only, subject to availability.

Maximum capacity for school bookings at Watermouth Castle is 300 per day. However, we will always insist that there is a minimum 15 to qualify as a school visit, with a ratio of 1 adult for every 4 children.

If you have a very small school or only want to treat a very select number of pupils, then 15 is the minimum. All bookings need to be made in advance.

Our school visits are between 10am to 2pm

The information provided aims to assist you in creating your own Risk Assessment for your upcoming trip. While this assessment covers site-specific risks, it does not evaluate the individual requirements, abilities, or medical conditions of your group members.

We strongly recommend that the group organiser conduct their own comprehensive assessment by visiting the site. This visit can be pre-booked through our Contact Centre. Call 02038 856 672 to book in your site visit.

All invoices need to be paid in full 14 days before your visit. Bookings will be cancelled 14 days before where payment has not been received.

The cancellation of bookings can be honoured up to 4 weeks before the booking date with no charge.

Please note the below charges if cancellations are required closer to the booked date:

Bookings cancelled within 28 days of their booking date - 50% of the invoice amount will be payable.

Bookings cancelled between 14 & 28 days of the booking - 75% of the invoice amount will be payable.

At Watermouth Castle we are not unreasonable people, so if there is a genuine issue we will do our very best to accommodate any changes.

For an extra £5.95 per child you can add on a Kids Lunch Box. To add this onto your School booking please email Watermouthinfo@kidspaceadventures.com. This does need to be pre-booked in advance.
