Is the Castle open during Twilight?

Twilight at Watermouth is a family-friendly early evening experience that allows guests to enjoy the park in a calmer, more atmospheric way as the day winds down.

On selected dates during May half term and summer, guests can explore the gardens, enjoy selected rides, use outdoor play areas and experience bubbles and relaxed ambience into the early evening.

• Included in all afternoon entry sessions or Twilight only experience tickets start at 5:00pm
• Last admissions: 7:00pm
• Rides operate until: 8:00pm
• Event closes: 9:00pm

During Twilight, guests have access to:

• Gardens and outdoor park areas
• Selected rides
• Outdoor play areas (until dusk, subject to light levels)

Indoor Castle areas are not included.

The following rides operate on rotation during Twilight, until 8:00pm:

• River Ride
• Cooking Pots
• Seals
• Aeroplanes
• Carousel
• Swing Boats

The Toboggan and Tube Slide do not operate during Twilight.

Yes. Outdoor play areas remain open until dusk, depending on natural light and safety conditions.

Yes. Twilight at Watermouth is specifically designed for families.
The event is relaxed, unhurried and suitable for younger guests, with gentle rides and open outdoor spaces.

Food and drink options transition from daytime to evening:

• Garden Café
  • Hot food served until 4:00pm
  • Drinks and snacks available until 5:00pm
• From 5:00pm onwards
  • External food vendors operate within the park
  • Ice cream and doughnuts available in the evening
  • Drinks available in designated areas

This ensures guests can enjoy food and refreshments throughout their visit.

Yes. 

• Standard day tickets apply for entry before 3:00pm
• Twilight only tickets include access from 5:00pm onwards
• Twilight entry is via the courtyard entrance

The Twilight only entry price is £10 per person.
This only includes access to the Twilight evening experience.

Twilight is designed as a relaxed outdoor evening experience.
If the weather is changeable, some activities may be adjusted to ensure everyone can continue to enjoy the event safely.

Yes, everyone is welcome to attend Twilight. Twilight is a separate ticketed event from 5:00pm, so if you are visiting earlier in the day you will need a Twilight ticket to stay for the evening experience.

Twilight-only tickets are also available if you would like to arrive from 5:00pm and enjoy the park during the magical early evening hours.
